The Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) sponsors Georgia Cities Week from April 21-27, with the purpose of showcasing and celebrating cities, their services, and citizens. The City of Young Harris has multiple events during the week, and the public is invited to attend any and all. The week kicks off with Enchanted Spring Fling 4/21 from 1pm – 4pm, downtown, where folks can enjoy food, live music, and purchase art and plants. Enchanted Spring Fling is co-hosted by Main Street Young Harris and the Enotah Garden Club, and sponsored by Fine Line Builders, Inc., and Jo Ellen Thorton, Century 21 Black Bear Realty. On 4/23, residents are invited to a Meet & Greet with City Staff and Council members at City Hall from 4pm-6pm, with light refreshments. Local artists whose work is on display at Mountain Regional Library and the Peach State Federal Credit Union will be present to mingle with the public on 4/24 from 2pm-4pm during the Rotating Art Reception. The week wraps up on 4/25 with a Spring Cleaning Fair where community members can meet vendors who provide home, lawn care and maintenance, along with the option to purchase dinner from The Ark, from 5pm-7pm at Mayors Park Pavilion.
