In November 2024, the Young Harris City Council approved the 2024 Master Plan, following many public forums. The 2024 Master Plans picks up from the progress accomplished with the initial Blueprint for Community and Economic Development (Blueprint), which was a community driven plan developed for the City of Young Harris. The Blueprint was designed to be the starting point for the City’s leadership to being creating a village atmosphere and favorable environment for an economically prosperous future for the City of Young Harris.

In 2026, the Towns County Comprehensive Plan will be updated. The GA Mountain Regional Commission is leading the process. All are invited to attend the public meetings and to complete the public survey.
